The faithful countrywide will celebrate Eid al Fitr tomorrow as the official moon-sighting committee has announced it has received testimony about sightings of the Shawwal moon, reported the 24NerwsHD Tv channel.
Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi facilitated the nation on the sighting of the Shawwal moon.
He said that the Crescent Moon is a sign of the recompense of worship during the holy month of Ramazan.
Mohsen Naqvi said that Eid al-Fitr is a special reward of Allah for Muslims.
“Eid-ul-Fitr is the name of sharing the happiness of the common man.”
The objective of Eid al Fitr is to promote unity, brotherhood, sacrifice, and generosity among Muslims," he added.
The CM also called upon the people to adopt compassion in their ranks and work for the prosperity of the country by rising above personal, regional, and sectarian biases.
He further said: "People can only share the joys of Eid with others if they abide by the golden principles of Islam and promote generosity.
He promised that his government will "continue playing its responsible role for developing Pakistan into a real welfare state".
The families of those who sacrificed their lives for the establishment of peace in our dear country should also be remembered on this occasion, he said.
