In a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the recent attack on foreigners in Karachi, startling revelations have emerged shedding light on the identity of the slain terrorist responsible for the heinous act.

The terrorist, identified as Sohail, was revealed to be a dismissed officer of the Balochistan Levies, who had joined the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in 2014.

Sources close to the investigation disclosed that Sohail was not only an active member but also served as a prominent target killer within the BLF ranks.

Further investigation revealed that Sohail's association with militant outfits began during his tenure with the Levies, a law enforcement agency in the region. Despite being associated with the banned organization, Sohail managed to secure a position within the Levies from 2017 to 2022, during which he reportedly operated clandestinely while maintaining his ties with the BLF.

When suspicions regarding his links to terrorist activities surfaced, Sohail absconded, seeking refuge in Afghanistan along with his family, according to insider sources. It was during this period that he reportedly severed ties with the BLF and joined the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a move indicative of his deep involvement in extremist circles.

Sources further revealed that Sohail was assigned to the BLA's Majeed Brigade and was deployed to Karachi for a high-profile target operation in Pakistan. Tracing his journey, investigators found that Sohail entered Karachi via a route spanning Chaman, Quetta, and Hub Chowki from Afghanistan.

The slain terrorist, Sohail, hailed from a family of six, including four brothers and one sister, as disclosed by sources familiar with his background.
