Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led the way in the by-elections as the ruling party in Punjab and its allies swept the polls in the province both on national and provincial assembly seats, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.

PML-N won both national assembly seats from Lahore and Kasur while PPP won the NA seat from Sindh's Qambar Shadadkot. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-backed Sunni Ittehad Council failed to win anything from Punjab but won one national assembly seat from KPK while the other seat went to an independent candidate.
