The government should build Chitral University on barren or uninhabited land instead of green and fertile Sen village, if the authority wants to take this place, then they should be paid according to the market rate.
These were demands of the Sen village’s people who staged a protest rally at Garam Chashma Road in Chitral on Sunday, reported 24 News HD TV Channel.
Carrying banners and chanting slogans for their rights, they said the government has already purchased 166 kanals of land at Syedabad for Chitral University, but the construction work has not started on it. Sen Village is a beautiful wasteland where lush green crops and orchards of fruit trees stand everywhere, if a building for a university is constructed on this land, its beauty will be adversely affected.
They demanded the government save this green land or pay to these people the price of the land according to the market rate.
