FIA arrests Iqra University director for harassing female students

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Rizwan Bari, Director of Iqra University, Islamabad, on charges of harassing female students, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to FIA sources, the accused was arrested from Islamabad.

He had made email and social media accounts in the name of a victim girl.

He, pretending to be a victim girl on social media, had sent objectionable content to many people on social media.

A case was registered against the accused under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) Act.

Further investigations against the accused were underway.

Meanwhile, the unversity administration has made it clear that Rizwan Bari was fired from his post on March 11 last after receiving complaints. The FIA, however, has arrested Bari now after conducting his investigation, the university added.
