The core committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has repeated the demand for providing the party founder with basic rights in prison.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Shafqatullah Khan’s report about the miseries of the PTI founder in prison proved that the party complaints were valid, it said.

“The Additional District and Sessions Judge in his report has confirmed all the apprehensions the core committee has informed the nation from time to time.

“According to Judge Shafqatullah, the complaints of Chairman Imran Khan are completely correct.

“Keeping him in this condition is a clear violation of state laws. However, the ex-PM’s morale is still high. Such acts cant shatter him and his followers.”

The PTI core committee claimed that the party leaders and members are being subjected to political persecution.”

“Ex-PM Imran Khan has been facing inhumane, immoral and illegal treatment in jail.”

The meeting alleged the senior party leaders are too being subjected to the worst vindictive actions.

The core committee said the ‘illegal arrest’ of Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the ill-treatment meted out to him during detention is deplorable.

It also condemned the action against Usman Dar and sealing his assets.

The participants pondered over the president's tweet and the situation in the wake of the approval of the amendments to the Army Act and the Official Secrets Act.

The committee claimed that under a well-orchestrated plot, anti-PTI forces are in action to crush its future

The PTI will approach the Supreme Court for justice, the participants promised, adding that the struggle for justice will go on.

The meeting also deliberated the matters related to the appeal against the sentence of the PTI chairman in the Tosha Khana case

“The legal team will fight the case vigorously. Its struggle will bore fruit. The series of revenge and discrimination will be put to an end.”

The meeting strongly condemned the ‘oppression against senior parliamentarian Sardar Nasrullah Khan Drishek and his family in South Punjab.

The meeting mooted organizational matters and expressed satisfaction with the performance of the office bearers.

It paid a glowing tribute to the party leaders and workers bearing with state operation

Discussions were also held on the strategy for dealing with serious political challenges the party has been facing.
