Schools have reopened in Punjab and the federal capital after summer vacations for two and a half months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The joys and pleasures of vacations have also ended with the culmination of the summer vacations.

The schools in Islamabad and all the cities of Punjab including Lahore and Gujranwala have reopened.

The children were excited after meeting old friends at school. They also welcomed their teachers by showering rose petals on them.

It is to be noted here that there were summer vacations at schools from June 6 to August 20.

Heaps of garbage piled up during vacations in Shergarh school

On the other hand, heaps of garbage were piled up during summer vacations at Government Boys High School in suburban village 20-1AL.

The furniture and fans in the classrooms were littered with dust and birds’ excretion, making the atmosphere so polluted that it was difficult for children to breathe in the classrooms.

Ornamental flowers and plants were also wilted. The garden in front of the headmaster’s office turned into a heap of garbage.
