Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq indicated to go to Supreme Court (SC) against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for not announcing the election’s date, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference, Sirajul Haq said that even to date the Election Commission has not announced the date of the elections and this act of the Commission is a violation of the constitution.
Siraj also demanded the Election Commission to conduct transparent elections alleging that the previous governments used the Election Commission only for their own interests.
He blamed that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) conspired for postponing the election.
Talking about inflation, Sirajul Haque said that according to a research, electricity prices have increased by 72 percent in a few months, now the solution to all these problems lies only with the people.
