Muhammad Abdullah Khan Sumbal has been appointed as chief secretary of Punjab, replacing Kamran Ali Afzal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Establishment Division issued the notification in this regard on Wednesday.
Earlier, this month the federal government had approved 120-day leave of Kamran Ali Afzal and handed over the additional charge of the chief secretary to Abdullah Sumbal, who is a 21-grade officer.
