Pakistan International Airlines Wednesday shifted its international flight operations from Lahore to Islamabad due to fog and reduced visibility at the Lahore Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a PIA spokesperson, due to fog and low visibility, PIA shifted the international flights operating at Lahore Airport between 10 pm and 11 am to Islamabad.

The transfer of flights has been done in the context of air safety and to save passengers from long waiting times.

The rescheduling of flights between 10 pm and 11 am is temporary and will be restored as soon as the fog conditions improve, a PIA spokesperson said.

The transfer of flights will be implemented from tonight.

Passengers and their airport pick-up or drop-off persons are requested to contact the PIA call centre at 786 786 111 for timely flight information.

PIA Spokesman urged the passengers to be sure to record the correct contact number at the time of ticket booking so that passengers can be provided with timely information about changes in flight timings through call or SMS.
