CTD combs Karachi localities with help of ‘Talash’ App device

In view of recent surge in incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Sindh on Wednesday carried out search operations in different parts of Karachi with the help of ‘Talash’ App device, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
CTD In-charge Mazhar Mashwani told media that the operations were carried out in the areas surrounding Cantonment Station, Gulistan-e-Johar, Sher Shah, Guru Mandir and Old Sabzi Mandi.
Mashwani explained that several areas were first cordoned off before they were combed.
Giving further details, he said that so far particulars of 35 persons had been checked with the help of ‘Talash’ App. “Six suspected terrorists were shifted to the CTD station,” he said, adding, “Three unlicensed weapons were also recovered from the possession of three criminals.”
The particulars, he went on to say, of three more individuals were being verified.
“The CTD can launch operation anywhere, anytime,” Mashwani concluded.
Police official’s family looted at Shah Faisal Colony
What can be described as a clear proof of the deterioration of law and order situation in the port city, family of a police official was looted at their home’s doorstep at Shah Faisal Colony.
CCTV footage of the incident shows two armed men mounted on a bike approaching the family’s home and depriving them of cellphones, cash and jewellery.
