The ECC met with caretaker Finance Minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar in the chair on Wednesday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The meeting approved clearing Rs262 billion dues of power plants and an advance subsidy of Rs57 billion for the arrears of K-Electric.
It approved phasing out the export finance scheme under IMF conditions and Rs3 billion Exim Bank funds.
The ECC decided to transfer NICA Institute from the Science and Technology Division to the Ministry of Energy and A technical supplementary grant of Rs 15.24 million was also approved for this purpose
It approved to maintain the support price of wheat at Rs3900 per 40kg and the minimum price for tobacco crops.
The ECC expressed displeasure at the increase in dues of Pakistan Steel Mills and directed the Ministry of Industries and Production to look into the matter.
