A young quake survivor has heaped praise on the Pak Army rescue team as he shared his rescue story.
Baran is among the people affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that rattled Turkey and Syria a couple of weeks ago, claiming thousands of lives and leaving a trail of devastation.
Sharing his story of survival, the youth said he thought he was dead and it was all over.
He continued: “There was nothing I could do … Then I heard a human voice. ”
"They said we will save me. I was very happy at that moment.
"Pakistani brothers said ‘La ila ha lillala. Muhammadur Rasoolullah, I responded
"Then I realized that I am alive.”
Baran expressed gratitude to the Pak Army saying: “Pakistani team was so helpful. Thanks so much”
He also shed light on the Pak Army rescuers’ efforts for reaching out to the victims and retrieving them from the debris after hectic efforts.
He added: “They dug the right place and I managed to get out of the rubble. The rescue team put me on a stretcher.
“Then the Pakistani brothers started to lift me up on the stretcher and on the way we were raising Takbeer together. We got to the ambulance where I was given first aid. Many thanks to the rescue team of the Pakistan Army who helped me a lot.”
