As many as 82 PTI-backed independent candidates have so far submitted affidavits with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to join the Sunni Ittehad Council, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
Head of the Sunni Ittehad Council Sahibzada Hamid Raza Tuesday submitted has submitted the affidavits of 32 more independent candidates for the National Assembly to the ECP taking the total number to 82.
Yesterday, 50 independent members of the National Assembly had submitted certificates and affidavits to join Sunni Ittehad Council.
Sahibzada Hamid Raza said the affidavits of more MNAs will also be submitted today.
He said the affidavits of the successful independent candidates of the provincial assemblies will also be submitted soon.
He said the priority list for specific seats will also be submitted to the ECP soon.
