Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan demanded on Tuesday the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja as he has failed to fulfil his duty to hold free and fair elections in the country.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PTI Chairman Gohar Khan talked to the media in Islamabad on Tuesday and demanded the authorities that transparency in the rigged results of the elections should be ensured.
Barrister Gohar Khan said CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja has become controversial as he has failed to fulfil his responsibility so should be stepped down immediately.
The PTI chairman also demanded the ECP that Form 47 should be prepared according to Form 45. He also claimed that the PTI has won 180 seats in the National Assembly (NA) and his party's elected members will join the Sunni Unity Council (STC).
He also confirmed that yesterday, the list of 50 MNAs was sent to the Election Commission and they will apply tomorrow for the reserved seats in the NA.
