Educational institutions of Islamabad continue to make headlines as far as the coronavirus pandemic is concerned as another school in federal capital’s Bani Gala area was sealed on Friday following detection of the coronavirus cases there, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to reports, not only the students but some teachers too had tested positive for the virus, prompting the authorities to seal the school.
Three days ago, on January 18, 2022, 24News had reported that the District Health Officer (DHO) of Islamabad had decided to seal nine more schools after the confirmation of some Covid-19 cases there.
As many as 17 educational institutions have been sealed in the federal capital ever since their reopening following drop in the cases of the pandemic.
So far two cases have been reported in Islamabad Model School for Girls, F-6/1, while four in Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-7/2.
Similarly, two cases each were confirmed at Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2 and Islamabad Model School for Girls, G-6/2; likewise two cases were reported from Islamabad Model School for Boys, I-8/4.
Two cases each of the pandemic were detected at Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/4.
Two cases of corona also confirmed in Islamabad Model School for Girls, Model Town, Humak.
Three cases of Covid-19 also reported in Islamabad Model College for Girls, Rawal Town.
Two corona cases were reported in Islamabad Model College for Girls, I-10/4.
Earlier, on Monday the DHO recommended the closure of five schools due to confirmation in the cases of students at several educational institutions in Islamabad.
The schools which the DHO recommended to seal included: Islamabad Model College for Girls (F-62), Islamabad Model School for Girls (G-6/2), Islamabad Model School for Girls ( Shakiral), Islamabad Model College for Girls (G-104) and Girls model college (postgraduate) F7/4.
