American singer and songwriter Chappell Roan expressed deep sorrow for the devastating Los Angeles wildfire survivors as it claimed the lives of at least 27 people.
The 26-year-old singer took to her Instagram and urged her fans to help communities, who got affected by the recent situation.
The devastating fire took place in Southern California, on January 7, 2025, and as result, many lost their homes.
The singer wrote, “If you cannot donate supplies/volunteer and still want to contribute, this is a link to a list of many displaced Black families in need of funds.”
“The Raton Fire has destroyed nearly 1,000 structures in Altadena, displacing Black families who’ve shaped the community for generations”, she added.
Recently, the crooner made an appearance on BBC Radio 1 in celebration of receiving the Sound of 2025 award. She was praised for the boundaries that she has with the press and fans alike.
During the interview, she said, "I think it comes out of survival more than bravery. Me standing up for myself on a red carpet or fighting for trans rights with what is happening [in the USA] is life or death.”
“It’s just a duty. I feel responsible to do my best as a human", she added.
Chappell Roan is particularly known for her support for the transgender community.
