The Women’s Police Station in Lahore’s Racecourse area has registered a gang-rape case on the application of an MPhil student of the Government College University, Lahore.
Haseeb Afzal, Talha Khan and Hamza Sheikh have been named as rapists in the FIR. The GCU student said that she became friends with Haseeb some time ago on social media. She said that Haseeb started liking her and then expressed his desire to marry her. She said that Haseeb made several attempts to develop a physical relation with her, but she refused every time.
On January 10, she said, Haseeb invited her to breakfast in the Muslim Town area of Lahore at 10: 00 am. She said that she reached there and found that Haseeb’s friends Talha Khan and Hamza Sheikh were also present in his car. She said the three men took her to a flat in Bahria Town where they gang-raped her.
During the gang-rape, she said, the accused also made videos and photos of her to blackmail her. After the gang rape, she said, the accused threw her at Outfall Road and fled.
