Expressing his good wishes for the people of America, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has that the assumption of office by Donald Trump as the 47th US president was a historic event, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Speaking to the US congressmen as well as other dignitaries namely Senator Tommy Tuberville, Ken Calvert, ex-British prime minister Liz Truss and Phil Bryant at a dinner hosted at Lincoln Liberty Ball in Washington on Monday, Mohsin Naqvi said that the American people loved Trump immensely. “I am a witness to the celebrations held in the USA following his ascent to the presidency,” he said, and expressed the optimism that the relations between Pakistan and the USA would further strengthen under the Trump administration.
The interior minister and the US dignitaries exchanged views over matters of mutual interest.
He also congratulated the US congressmen on the assumption of office by Trump.
