The judge of the District and Sessions Court Islamabad expressed strong displeasure over the noncompliance with the non-bailable arrest warrants of PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur in the recovery of liquor and arms case.
According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, Ali Amin Gandapur’s non-bailable arrest warrants remain intact, while the court also rejected his request for exemption from personal appearance.
Senior Civil Judge Mubashir Hassan Chishti heard the case. Ali Amin Gandapur's counsel, Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan Advocate, appeared on his behalf.
The court has sought an explanation from the DIG Operations regarding the matter.
The case against Gandapur has been filed at the Bara Kahu Police Station.
During the hearing, Gandapur's lawyer, Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan, requested the court first decide on the acquittal plea.
However, the court expressed frustration, stating, "Every hearing, you submit exemption requests, fail to produce the accused, and waste the court's time."
The judge further remarked, "Multiple warrants have been issued for the accused, yet no compliance report has been submitted."
The Sessions Court adjourned further proceedings until January 29.
