PTI won't attend fourth session of talks sans formation of judicial commission: Gohar

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has warned that PTI negotiation committee will not attend the next meeting if the government failed to announce judicial commission to probe May 9 and Nov 24 incidents, reported 24NewsHDTV channel. 

Talking to media, Barrister Gohar said the government can constitute judicial commission on any of the issues no matter cases remain under trail in courts as there was no legal limit on the formations of commission. He said in neighboring country India several instances can be presented. 

He said if the government indicated that it was ready to form the commission, then PTI team will go to the meeting. Barrister Gohar said PTI founder has given the same instructions if the government was ready to form the commission, then negotiation team will go to the fourth session and if the government was not forming the commission, then the meeting will not take place. 

Earlier PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that Opposition staged protest on the arrival of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the National Assembly on Tuesday as the government has not taken any step on PTI’s demand of setting up judicial commission on two incidents, reported 24NewsHDTV channel. 

Talking to media, Barrister Gohar said PTI had demanded that a judicial commission should be set up for the release of arrested PTI leaders and workers. He said PTI lawmakers were questioning why the government opened fire on peaceful protestors during November 24. 

Opposition leader Omar Ayub said that during NA meeting, Opposition leader’s right to speech can not be ended. He said several times, the government does not allow him to speak. He said Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif consider all matches remain fixed.

MNA Sehr Afzal Marwat said that PTI will announce power shows on the directives of PTI founder Imran Khan. 

Meanwhile, Tehreek Tahafuzz Ain-e-Pakistan and PTI leadership visited the residence of former PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokar and invited him to join their movement. 

During the meeting, both sides discussed prevailing political and economic situation in the country. Later taking to media, Mustafa Nawaz Khokar said that the country was passing through crisis and the incumbent government has added fuel to the problems. He said it was need of the hour that pro democratic forces join hands for the rule of law. 

Opposition leader in NA Omar Ayub said that agenda of all peace loving country is establishing rule of law in the country. He said opposition leaders last week met with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and invited him to join their struggle. 

He said during new few days, the members of all opposition parties will sit together and issue a plan of action to move forward. He said due to poor economic condition, youth was leaving the country in record numbers. 

Raja Nasir Abbas said that country came into being by politicians with the help of the masses. He said first Pakistan was broken into parts and now the remaining part of the country is facing severe destruction. He said the masses are accepting the current government. He stressed the need for rule of law.
