Superstar Ali Zafar has released the deleted scene from his blockbuster hit film ‘Teefa In Trouble’.
Taking to Twitter, the rock star shared the video of the scene which was deleted to contain the overall length of the film.
He further said, “I wrote this scene in 2017. While writing the character of “Anya, I wanted the heroin to be empowered, independent & free as to being timid and submissive”.
“I feel it is important that (through this medium) we educated our masses about freedom of choice regardless of gender,” Ali Zafar added.
Ahsan Rahim’s cinematic debut Teefa In Trouble, starring singer and actor Ali Zafar and Maya Ali in lead roles, released in Pakistan and beyond on July 20, 2018, and became one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
Though the film was officially released on Netflix globally and was available on the streaming site in 25 different countries, it was unavailable on the Pakistani version of the online streaming service.
Teefa In Trouble revolves around Teefa (essayed by Ali Zafar), a lower-middle-class guy from Lahore, who works for a local gangster, Butt Sahab (Mehmood Aslam), and Anya (Maya Ali), a bold and independent girl who originally hails from Lahore but lives in Poland. How Teefa and Anya meet and how their two worlds collide is what the film is all about.
Besides Ali Zafar and Maya Ali, the film features an all-star cast including veteran actors such as Mehmood Aslam, Jawed Sheikh, Asma Abbas and Faisal Qureshi in supporting roles.
