The Sindh High Court (SHC) has reserved the judgement on bringing Dua Zehra to Karachi, and it will be announced on Thursday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It is learnt that the federal and provincial governments are in favour of bringing Dua Zehra back to Karachi.
“We are not sending Dua Zehra to her parents. But she has to be brought here,” the court said.
“Dua cannot be brought here against her will,” said the lawyer for Zaheer, the alleged husband of Dua Zehra.
On the occasion, Jibran Nasir, the lawyer for the parents of Dua Zehra, adopted before the court that Dua Zehra had sought separation from her alleged husband.
Earlier, Zaheer had been produced in the SHC under tight security.
On the other hand, the city court of Karachi also approved the interim bail of Zaheer and his brother and adjourned the hearing till July 25. The court ordered both of them to submit a surety bond of one lac rupees each.
While the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sindh ordered to transfer of the investigation of the Dua Zehra case to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) following the court orders.
The DIG Sindh has issued the order to transfer the investigations from the IVCC officer Shaukat Shahani to SIU's DSP Saeed Rind.
