Pakistan and Ukraine on Thursday pledged to strengthen bilateral ties in several areas including trade, education, defence, investment and culture.
This decision was taken during the meeting between Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday.
They spoke about the warm and friendly relations between the two countries since Ukraine's independence.
They expressed their determination to enhance cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest, including the security situation in the South Asian and Eurasian regions.
They stressed the need for a negotiated and diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine, in line with the UN Charter.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed that the conflict in Ukraine had a significant impact on the world and had a negative impact on the economy of many countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed Shahbaz Sharif about the current situation in Ukraine. He stressed that Pakistan and Ukraine have long maintained a warm relationship based on cooperation and friendship, with the common goal of contributing to world peace and regional stability.
