Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said there has been no discussion with the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) regarding a ban on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he mentioned that he saw a statement from a minister about PTI, but there has been no communication from the PML-N on the matter.

During his visit to the residence of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Ejaz Samma in Wazirabad, the governor spoke to the media and said any decisions regarding a ban on PTI would be made after discussions within the PPP's Central Executive Committee.

The governor also noted that PTI may have two factions: one involved in the events of May 9 and another patriotic faction. 

He added that those involved in the May 9 incidents should be punished, but those not involved should not face any consequences. 

Later, the governor addressed the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Executive Council in Lahore and said it is not only the politicians who are responsible for the current situation of Pakistan but also the judges, general and bureaucrats.

He said the country will not be well until everyone is held accountable. He added that an attempt was made to run the country by pushing back the politicians, but instead of moving forward, the country went backwards.

Governor Saleem said there is no gas in the country while electricity is very expensive so there is no solution other than the gas pipeline deal that Asif Ali Zardari signed with Iran-Pakistan. He mentioned that no one has the courage to carry out this project.
