Woman gives birth to twins in rickshaw outside Lahore’s General Hospital

The doctors and nurses of General Hospital, Lahore on Sunday saved the lives of a mother and her two newborns, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to reports, a pregnant woman came to the hospital in a rickshaw.

But as soon the rickshaw entered the hospital, the woman’s condition deteriorated further.

Seeing that, the hospital security advisor immediately informed the doctors, who rushed to the rickshaw and the woman gave birth to two baby girls in their presence.

According to the Director of Emergency at Lahore General Hospital, both the mother and the twin girls are in good health.

The newborns have been admitted to the nursery section of the hospital’s gynecology ward.

Earlier, a woman gave birth to quadruplets at a private medical facility in Sargodha, Punjab. According to details, the wife of a laborer named Irfan, gave birth to quadruplets after six years of marriage.

The health of the mother was sound but the newborn babies (two boys and two girls) were in intensive care. The hospital sources said two of four newborn babies, lost their lives due to low weight, however, two other babies are fit and sound.
