The tendency of committing suicides in the female students of Chandka Medical College, Larkana persists as another female student living in the college’s hostel, who was about to commit suicide, had to drop her plan when the administration intervened and counselled her to change her mind, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Following harrowing incidents of the suicide of Dr. Namrita Kumari and Dr. Nausheen Kazmi, there could be yet another suicide when a female student, in her second year, suffering from mental stress, placed a note on the table and was about to commit suicide when her roommates took notice of it and intimated the college administration about it.
After having been informed the hostel administration handed her over to the college administration, which succeeded in convincing her to change her mind after the counselling of two hours.
Confirming the incident, former vice- chancellor of the university, Dr. Hakim Ali Abrro said that it happened a few days back.
