Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani Monday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad to discuss the political issues including Reko Diq project, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Senate Chairman thanked the premier for the successful agreement with the government's Barrick Gold Company for the waiver of fines of about ً 11 billion in addition to the development of Reko Diq project - gold and copper mine- in Balochistan.
Through this project, Barrick Gold will do investment of US$10 billion in Balochistan, which will create opportunity of 8000 jobs in the region.
PM Imran hoped that the development of Reko Diq Gold and copper mine would play a significant role in the socio-economic development of not only Balochistan but the whole of Pakistan.
