A special meeting of the Reut-e-Hilal Committee to observe the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan started in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday evening.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Ruet-e-Hilal committee meeting has started in the observatory of Sudir, a suburb of the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The members of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee and astronomers are included in the meeting to get confirmation of the moon sighting.
In the meeting, the members will try to see the crescent the holy month of Ramadan with modern scientific instruments.
On the other hand, Abdullah Al-Khudiri, a member of the Saudi Astronomy Committee, stated that the moon on Tuesday (today) will set a few minutes after its birth before sunset, so there are fewer possibilities of seeing the moon today.
However, he said the Saudi Supreme Court will announce whether the moon is visible or not.
