India’s top female tennis player Sania Mirza will be competing in the Nottingham Open from June 6, Birmingham Open from June 14, the Eastbourne Open from June 20 and the Wimbledon from June 28.

Though immense excitement might be building up for the professional player, she is also facing resistance in executing her UK trip to perfection.

You might wonder what is acting as a barrier for Sania?

The style icon of the tennis world has approached the Indian Sports Ministry regarding a demanding matter.

Sania’s son who is a two-year-old isn’t allowed to go along with Sania on her UK expedition as his and the guardian’s visa were rejected by the UK.

Due to a surge in Covid-19 cases, the UK has put restrictions on travel from India and some other countries.

However the star will not take no for an answer as it is not possible for her to leave a two-year-old behind while she competes in UK for a period of one month.

The Indian ministry declared, "The request was immediately taken up by the Sports Ministry and a letter has already been sent to MEA requesting them to take up the matter in the UK through the Indian Embassy in London”.
