The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Friday exposed a 47 percent average increase of internal and external loans and liabilities in the sitting government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Pakistan (PTI).
According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, the SBP issued its official statistics disclosed that the total volume of loans and liabilities of Pakistan had reached a record level of Rs454.70 trillion.
The SBP official statement said in the present tenure of the PTI, an increase of Rs146.24 trillion had been recorded in this volume.
As per the official data of SBP, the government's internal debt increased by 51 percent and external debt by 44.5 percent.
The statement further disclosed that from September 2018 to March 2021, the sitting government of PTI's internal debt increased by Rs86.32 trillion to Rs255.52 trillion.
On the other hand, the SBP said the external debt burden of the country increased by Rs50.57 trillion to Rs164.25 trillion that showed Pakistan's external debt increased by 20.198 billion in the last 30 months.
