On the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the federal government has extended full support to the government of Balochistan to extinguish the fire raging in Sheerani forests of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Pakistan Army and the FC are doing whatever they can to cool down the blaze, while the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), too, has provided the provincial government with the required equipment to deal with the natural disaster.
Under article 245 of the constitution, a wing of Pakistan Rangers has been placed under the control of the Balochistan government to assist in putting out the blaze.
The federal government has also arranged a helicopter to pour water on the fire from above.
However, due to difficult mountainous terrain the authorities are confronting difficulties in extinguish the fire.
