The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Monday destroyed hundreds of litres of adulterated milk being supplied on a tanker on Lahore-Kasur Road, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the PFA sources, the authority launched a massive crackdown on adulterators and hoarders, seizing 2,000 liters of adulterated milk, nine canisters of ghee and six sacks of powder.
Besides, it also seized two mixing machines, 10 plastic drums and as many cans.
The PFA director general said that a milkman was arrested from his house on a tip-off the other night while adulterating milk with powders and other chemicals.
A case was registered against him, and all the machinery and raw materials recovered from his house were also seized.
