Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi met a rape victim and her parents in Sargodha district and assured them of all-out support.
Flanked by IGP Dr Usman Anwar and senior officials, the chief minister visited the district headquarters hospital, enquired after the girl and reiterated his resolve to bring to book the culprit at the earliest.
Talking to the media, the chief minister bemoaned the incident and stressed he and his government stand by the girl and her parents.
No stone will be left unturned to punish the beast, he said describing the incident as a shameful act.
He praised the police for nabbing the accused within hours,
He asked the hospital admin to provide the girl with the best treatment and told the media that the condition of the girl was improving.
Showing his concerns about the rise of such gruesome crimes, the CM urged religious scholar to play their role in curbing the crimes.
