British Deputy Foreign Minister Hamish Faulkner met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Thursday and discussed a raft of issues with him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, issues of mutual interest with particular focus on Pakistan-UK relations were discussed. In the meeting, joint initiatives for the promotion of bilateral relations were also taken up.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed his best wishes to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Great Britain, reiterating his determination to make Pakistan-UK relations more stable.
The need for strong coordination on bilateral and regional issues was emphasized in both the countries.
Talking on the occasion Mohsin Naqvi said that Britain is a strong and best friend country of Pakistan. He said the time has come to convert mutual cooperation into sustainable economic partnership.
Interior Minister said joint measures are needed against baseless propaganda on social media.
Protection of minority communities is the first priority and minorities have all rights in Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi said.
