A 25-year-old man attending the Urs celebrations of Sufi Saman Sarkar in Badin was allegedly tortured to death following a financial dispute, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The victim, identified as Shakeel Jamali from Nando City, had been working at a crockery shop set up for the Urs festivities.
A conflict over financial matters erupted between Shakeel and the shop owner, which escalated into violence. The shop owner allegedly beat Shakeel severely, resulting in his death on the spot.
The shop owner fled the scene, and Shakeel's body was later shifted to Pangrio Hospital for further procedures.
The local police have launched an investigation into the incident.
