The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) started the new week on a strong note, with the bourse rising by 715.55 points in the first session on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
By midday, the benchmark KSE-100 index was surged by 739.89 points or 0.86 percent, reaching 85,989.98 points.
According to economic experts after passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment by both houses of the parliament investors showed the increased confidence in political system.
Earlier, a bearish trend continued on Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday (18.12.2024) due to selling pressure as investors opted to book profit on available margins.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index declined by 335.34 points or 0.39 percent and closed at 85,250.09 points.
