Today is Malika-e-Tarannum Noor Jehan’s birthday who was a Pakistani playback singer and actress. 

Noor Jehan or Allah Rakhi Wasai started her journey from British India and moved on towards Pakistani cinema in order to dazzle the masses with her noteworthy skills.

The queen of melody was included in the list of most accomplished singers of all time and had a staggering grip over classical tunes. The renowned diva took part in 40 films and sung around 20,000 in her career span.

Also, Noor Jehan is considered to be the first female Pakistani director.

Malika-e-Tarannum was born into a Punjabi family in Kasur, Punjab, British India.

However you might be shocked to discover that the queen started to sing at the mere age of six and made her debut as a playback singer in 1960 with film Salma.
