Informing an accountability court (AC) in Islamabad that his client was ready to surrender, counsel for former finance minister and PML-N leader Ishaq Dar on Wednesday filed in the court a petition against his arrest warrants, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Dar’s lawyer Qazi Misbah prayed to the court of Judge Muhammad Bashir to order the National Accountability Court (NAB) to withdraw the warrants since his client currently living in London was ready to surrender. “It is my request that the former finance minister is not arrested on his arrival in Pakistan,” he said.
Issuing a notice to the NAB, the court adjourned hearing of the case until day after tomorrow (Friday, September 23, 2022).
