The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided not to allot election symbols to the political parties, which have not submitted their annual financial statements as yet, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Sources told 24News that out of total 168 parties registered with the ECP, 107 had submitted their statements, while 61 had not submitted as yet.
It is mandatory for the parties to submit these documents.
Sources disclosed that PPP, PTI, PML-N, MQM-P, ANP and JUI-F were included in those 107 parties, which had submitted their statements.
Similarly, they revealed, BAP, BNP and National Party too had submitted their documents.
However, All Pakistan Muslim League, Rahe Haq Party, Awami Muslim League and some other parties were still to submit these statements.
