Pakistani female mountaineer Naila Kayani achieved another honour for the country by scaling the 8,163-meter-high Manaslu peak, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Naila Kayani is the first Pakistani woman mountaineer to climb nine peaks that are above 8,000 meters. Her mission is to climb all peaks above 8,000 meters.
Besides the Manaslu peak, Naila Kayani has so far scaled Broad Peak, Annapurna, Nanga Parbat, Lhotse II, Gasherbrum, Gasherbrum II and Mount Everest.
She was also awarded Stara-e-Imtiaz for scaling Mount Everest in May 2023.
Apart from being a mountaineer, Naila Kayani is a Dubai-based Pakistani banker, boxer and mother of two girls.
Naila Kayani rose to fame in 2018 when she uploaded her wedding photos on social media at K2 Base Camp.
It is to be noted here that Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif yesterday scaled Mount Manaslu, the eighth-highest peak in the world, for the second time.
