Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement on social media Platform X that it was an incredible privilege for the province of Punjab, Pakistan, to be granted the opportunity to inaugurate the prestigious 3rd Friendship Cities Forum held in Ningxia, China, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
He said that he had the distinct honour of delivering the opening speech at the esteemed event. “The forum provided a unique platform to emphasise the deep and enduring bond between Pakistan and China, one of the world’s most vital international relationships,” he stated.
He said that he had underscored the importance of Pak-China friendship in global affairs and highlighted the soft image of Pakistan. “We showcased our nation’s cultural richness, economic potential, and commitment to fostering peace and cooperation on the world stage,” he stated.

Punjab govt delegation attends 6th China-Arab States Expo
Moreover, a delegation of the Punjab government attended the sixth China-Arab States Expo in Ningxia, China.
A reception ceremony was held in honour of the foreign delegates.
Provincial ministers including SM Tanveer, Azfar Ali Nasir and Ibrahim Hasan Murad and Finance Secretary Mujahid Sherdal attended the ceremony.
They met the Ningxia government officials and the Communist Party office-bearers. They also met the delegations of the Arab countries participating in the Expo.
A Chinese cultural show was also presented at the reception ceremony. The Chinese artistes entertained the participants with cultural performances.
Punjab CM visits hospital
Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has said the management system of hospital in Ningxia is worthy of praise and emulation, adding we will take advantage of the Ningxia government's expertise to improve the situation in Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi was visiting Ningxia General Hospital in China on Thursday which consists of 3,500 beds.
CM Mohsin Naqvi also inspected reception, wards and departments of the hospital with visiting rest rooms of doctors and paramedical staff.
He also inspected blood specimen collection room, medical store and emergency ward with observing the ambulance vehicles equipped with the latest medical equipment.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also met the Pakistanis working in the hospital.
On the occasion the hospital officials gave a briefing to the chief minister on the available facilities and procedures.
