Apex Committee decides to make Sindh a crime-free-province

Sindh Apex Committee decided on Monday several stringent measures to eradicate street crime in Karachi along with terrorism, drug trafficking and dacoities from their roots in the province.


According to the 24News HD TV channel, the 30th meeting of the Apex Committee of Sindh was chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took several decisions related to maintaining law and order in the province. 


Addressing the committee, CM Murad Ali Shah said they are determined to restore peace in Sindh in any case. He said the street crime in Karachi and terrorism, drug mafia and dacoits will be eradicated from their roots in the province.


CM Sindh said they had decided to take steps to eradicate street crime and dacoities in Karachi.


The committee was informed that the Apex Committee, established in 2014-15, has consistently addressed critical issues, particularly those related to security, through collaborative efforts.


Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Haider Shah, Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Azhar Waqas, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, Advocate General Hasan Akbar, Chief Customs Collector Muhammad Yaqoob Mako, Home Secretary Iqbal Memon, Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi, Additional IG Karachi Imran Yaqoob, Chief Officer Water Board Asadullah and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
