The former caretaker Prime Minister calls on Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz in Lahore

Former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has said that Pakistan is not the only country facing the Sprint Movement, adding that such movements have been in Iran, Africa, India and many other countries. 

Talking to media in Lahore Press club, Kakar said a few people were running such a movement in Balochistan. He said these people refer to various historical events including 1700. 

Kakar said what is Balochistan today was earlier British Balochistan. It included some parts of the state of Qalat. 

The former interim PM said on March 17, 1948, the state of Qalat became part of Pakistan. In the current situation, some people make different excuses. He said some elements started a movement using violence as a tool. Kakar said laborers are being taken off buses and killed. 

The former interim PM said today there are colleges and universities in Balochistan. He said it is not difficult to fight these people, the real issue is to convince the people. These few people are openly running a movement for secession, violence does not mean anything to them. 

Earlier, the former caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore. 

He said the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, the national situation, peace and provincial development projects. On the occasion, former caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar appreciated the vision of CM Maryam Nawaz. 

CM Maryam told Kakar that youth in Punjab were being empowered with education, IT training, internships and employment opportunities. She said health sector and law and order are among the top priorities of the government. 

Anwarul Haq Kakar said Chief Minister Maryam Sharif introduced revolutionary projects in the health and education sectors. He said Punjab CM was a living example of women empowerment in Pakistan. Former Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar also appreciated the ongoing reforms in the health sector in Punjab.
