A case was registered against five Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) at Lahore’s Qilla Gujjar Singh Police Station on Monday for disrupting the Punjab Assembly (PA) session convened for the election of the assembly’s speaker, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The FIR, registered against MPAs namely Rana Mashhood, Mirza Javed, Rukhsana Kausar, Saiful Mulook Khokhar and Mian Abdur Rauf on the complaint of MPA Nawabzada Wasim Khan, read that these MPAs snatched a ballot book, which was later recovered from MPA Rukhsana Kausar.
“And when the PA staff looked at the book, they found out that some important pages in it were missing. The PML-N MPAs interfered in official duty since they attacked the polling staff and also damaged the election material,” read the FIR.
