Khatri wins National Scrabble Championship

Pakistani ace player Waseem Khatri has won a record 10th National Scrabble Championship by defeating Hisham Hadi Khan in a nerve-wracking battle, reported 24 News HD TV Channel on Monday.   

As many top 54 players of Pakistan participated in the 34th National Scrabble Championship held in Karachi. 

On the last day, Waseem Khatri had a lead of two games over his nearest rival Hisham Hadi, but after winning the next two matches Hisham came to the first position. However, in the deciding game, the experienced Waseem took the title from Hisham. 

Wasim Khatri thanked Allah for winning the tile. He said that there is immense talent among the youth. Hisham Hadi said that the competition was tough and he will work harder in the future.

The special guest of the event, Nadeem Umar, owner of PSL franchise Quetta Gladiators, distributed the prizes.
