The Sindh government after declaring several districts as calamity-hit areas due to continuing torrential rains and flash floods has requested the federal government for sending army troops in multiplying the rescue and relief efforts in the province.
According to 24 News HD TV Channel, in a formal request to the federal government, it is stated that Pakistan Army always remained on the front line to help the people in natural disasters and extraordinary situations. Several districts of the Sindh province are badly affected by flood water and there is a problem in rescue and relief activities in the flood-affected areas. Army helicopters have also been requested for relief operations in the rains.
