Chairman of the Management Committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Zaka Ashraf Monday met the national cricket team and showed his confidence in it ahead of the Asia Cup on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During his address, Ashraf showered praises on the team, expressing immense confidence in their ability and the leadership of Babar Azam. "The team, under Babar's leadership, has been demonstrating excellent skills and performance. Babar has a pool of immensely talented players, with each one executing their roles to perfection," stated Ashraf.

He went on to laud the world-class prowess of Pakistani bowlers and batsmen. Ashraf emphasized the balanced team combination and expressed his optimism, stating, "Given our current form and combination, there's no reason why we shouldn't clinch the trophy."

The Chairman also highlighted the accolades coming Pakistan's way from former cricketing greats both domestically and internationally. "Former cricketers from Pakistan and around the globe recognize the strength of our team. According to many of them, Pakistan stands out as the favourite for the Asia Cup," Ashraf added.

Reflecting on Pakistan's cricketing legacy, he reminded the team of their World Cup victory and two Asia Cup triumphs. "We have a legacy of champions. There's no reason why we can't repeat our victories in the Asia Cup and the World Cup," he said confidently.

In a bid to inspire and uplift the team's spirits, Ashraf conveyed, "There's an abundance of talent in this team. Always give your best on the field; the entire nation's blessings are with you."

Closing his motivating talk, Ashraf said, "I am profoundly hopeful that with your dedication and hard work, Pakistan will emerge as champions in the Asia Cup. I believe you will carry this momentum and confidence into the World Cup and once again bring the trophy home."

The team's spirit seemed buoyed, and with such backing from the PCB's top brass, expectations are high for a stellar performance in the tournaments ahead.
