UK police on Monday charged three members of an animal rights group that claimed to have "rescued" three lambs from a farm on King Charles III's Sandringham estate in eastern England.
Norfolk Police said that Sarah Foy, 23, Rose Patterson, 34, and Rosa Sharkey, 23, had been charged with theft, three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, and three of failing to record the movement of an animal.
They earlier said that three members of the Animal Rising group had handed themselves in at a police station in Berkshire, southern England, over the May 24 incident.
They were released on police bail and will appear at magistrates' court on September 28.
