The Punjab government has officially withdrawn the security detail previously provided to former Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Justice (Retired) Javed Iqbal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
Following government instructions, the Lahore Police recalled the personnel assigned to his security.
Javed Iqbal had been granted a traffic police pilot, a security vehicle, and four police officers for his protection. However, despite being removed from office, he continued to receive this security for several years.
In response to the government's decision, Punjab Police immediately ordered all assigned personnel to report back to the police lines.
